About Me

Jordan
Hello World!
Welcome to Does Not Compile – a Blog for Noobs. I’ve started this blog to post my own findings, comments, and thoughts while continuing my education in Computer Science / Programming. I know I am a noob, and therefore doubt you may find any REAL help here. But that’s OK! Maybe one day I will post insightful helpful posts and you can swoon over my tech-savvy awesomeness. However you may find a comment posted by a random guru, and in that case we should all shower them with karma, up-votes, A+++++ would read comments again, and other such fluffery.

What about you?
Oh me? Right, me… lets see… I started an interested in computers way back when Pluto was still a planet. My dad brought home a monochrome, mini-PC-type laptop. It was AMAZING. I could connect it to my phone line, listen to some weird noise, and then play Wheel of Fortune for HOURS. It was pretty much game over after that.

Jump forward 25-some years and here I am. I attended Neumont University through 2007 and began a career as a Business Analyst. Sure, I coded some here and there, but after college I focused mostly on my job as an analyst. It was a great run. I learned a ton. After years of working as an analyst I figured I could get my hands dirty in some code again. I was lucky enough to have some old coworkers who needed a Jr. Dev and I jumped at the opportunity.

Currently I work as a Jr. Developer in a C#/ASP.NET – MVP – XP-style Shop and loving almost every minute! (Some bugs totally elude me.)

  • 1 year experience C#/ASP.NET developer. Utilized tools: iBatis, jQuery, TeamCity, Re-sharper, SubVersion, and many more!
