About Me

Welcome to my blog! My name is Jordan and I am currently a student at Neumont University. I love the school, but it’s tough sometimes and keeps me quite busy. On average I take about 20+ credit hours a quarter. So I am there 8+ hours a day. However the trade-offs are well worth it. I have been blessed to work with some of the best companies in the industry including ACS and Novell.

I am also working while attending school as a Business Systems Analyst for First American Residential Value View. My role as a BA include:

• Provide guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve the project objectives
• Identify and resolve issues
• Liaise with various business units to gather requirements and resolve issues
• Improve business processes
• Gather and define business requirements
• Analyze and map processes
• Analyze data
• Produce high quality documentation
• Contribute to enterprise architecture development from a business needs point of view

I also recently left the firm Excend Consulting Group. While employed with Excend, I fulfilled a role as a Project Manager and Associate Consultant. I have been able to participate in some unique experiences with Excend. Here are a few of the things I participated in:

• Collaborate and build a business model for Excend.
• Design project life-cycles and methodologies (Agile-style)
• Manage different projects in different areas of business.
• Build business relationships with Fortune 1000 companies.
• Perform various methods of market research.
• Develop business strategies for companies to further penetrate their target markets.
• Documentation creations (reports, forms, presentations, etc.)

I don’t consider myself the most knowledgeable about software development, design or anything of the sort. I do however love to learn, and part of the attraction to the Computer Science industry was the need for constant learning. I love to learn new coding practices, methodologies, or languages.
